.......ok so last Sunday Chris presented me with this lovely little brown envelope with "shall we go..." written on it. he said he couldn't hold it in any longer as he was worried that he would slip up & for the fact that he wanted to talk about it.......... so as an early birthday present for me & for him he's booked us a fabulous trip to Paris! knowing how much i love Paris he couldn't really go wrong! as well as booking the Eurostar we are staying in a fabulous flat with a view of the Eiffel tower, booked through Airbnb & (it gets better) he's booked us a 3 hour Segway tour around Paris! i seriously can't wait, the boy did good!
as well as eating our way through many boulangerie's we have a few other places we want to visit during our stay. i would love to find a flea market or two & Chris is looking forward to strolling around the Parisian streets by day & night..... but what i'd really like to discover are some lovely local hangouts, exciting eateries and hidden places of interest. so lovely readers if you have any suggestions please feel free to leave a comment or two below!
as well as our trip to Paris we will be spending a few days in London before we go! we've booked a basic little flat right in the heart of brick lane, again booked on Airbnb! we're excited about catching up with some friends we haven't seen in a while, a night at Film4 Summer Screen and for me finally visiting Colombia road flower market ....... August is going to be a joyous month!

That's sounds absolutely fabulous - what an amazing present! I'm a big fan of airbnb - we've found some amazing places that way - and they don't break the bank either! ReplyDeletehi zoe, so glad you've found my blog too, so nice to see you over here : ) i can't wait to go now, i do love Paris & looking forward to our few days in London too! i know, isn't Airbnb the best! we've used them before and will continue to use them from now on! i love the fact that you can stay right within a community and have the home comforts on your travels too, and like you said you don't have to break the bank. i checked out your blog post on Colombia road, your photos are stunning (as ever)! i was hoping to pick up some peonies to bring home but as we are now heading over to Paris i'll just have to go flower hunting there now!
