Mid Week Mid Century is a special feature that i will bring you each & every week, either on a wednesday or thursday showcasing the very best that mid century design has to offer. 

so this week i couldn't think of any other product which is more striking & hugely iconic from the mid century other than Cathrineholm enamelwares. designed by the queen of scandinavian design, Norwegian born Grete Prytz Kittelsen. Gretes bold designs were inspired by American art, bold colours and simple shapes, which have become desirable & collectable world wide, just have a look at the above collections to see how stunning they look together. 

i'm lucky enough to have a few pieces of Cathrineholm myself one of which i use on a daily basis, my beloved green stove kettle! i think ill have to keep on dreaming for now for a collection like the above, as Cathrineholm pieces come with a big price tag ranging from £30-£200 per item....... however wroth every penny if you ask me.
